The Skilled Independent Visa Subclass 189 is an Australian visa that permits skilled people to live and work in Australia permanently. This visa is based on points, which means that applicants are evaluated based on a variety of factors, such as their age, qualifications, job experience, English language proficiency, and other criteria. Applicants must submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) using the SkillSelect system and get an invitation to apply for the visa in order to be eligible for this visa.

VISA SUBCLASS 491

- The Subclass 191 visa, commonly known as the Permanent Residence (Skilled Regional) visa, was launched in November 2022 as a type of Australian visa. This visa is intended for skilled workers who have lived and worked in a regional area of Australia for at least 3 years on a subclass 491 or 494 visa and have satisfied specified conditions.
- To be eligible for the Subclass 191 visa, applicants must have had a subclass 491 or 494 visa for at least 3 years and met all terms of that visa, including living and working in a regional area. In addition, they must show competence in English, fulfill health and character criteria, and have no outstanding obligations to the Australian government.
